Google Sync uses the Microsoft® Exchange ActiveSync® protocol. When setting up a new Exchange ActiveSync account on your iPhone, existing data may be removed from your phone. Please make sure to back up before you set up Google Sync.

Google Sync keeps the contacts on your phone synchronized with the contacts in your My Contacts group. To manage your My Contacts, go to Gmail and click Contacts in the left-hand navigation.
