Sync Gmail to the 'Mail' app on iPhone

If you have a google account for Gmail, it is very convenient for you to do business with worldwide clients or receive letters from friends. However, have you ever thought to sync your Gmail to iPhone? Now that iPhone is powerful and there must be a way to apply this.

Google has given out the way to sync Gmail to iPhone, follow the instructions below to add Gmail to the 'Mail' app on an iPhone.

Steps to Sync Gmail to iPhone

Beforehand you should make sure that  you've enabled IMAP in your main Gmail settings.

Step1. Put your Gmail account to your iPhone

Tap Settings on your iPhone home screen, then in turn you should select Mail, Add Account, choose Other, tap Add Mail account. Enter the information of you own. you will see the screen like this:

Step 2 Incoming Mail Server

Two principles you must follow: the first one is the host name is 'imap.gmail.com', you mustn't tap wrong; the second you should follow is the user name is your full Gmail address, including '@gmail.com' (or full Google Apps email address)

Step 3. Output Mail Server

Host name is 'smtp.gmail.com'; User name is your full Gmail address, including '@gmail.com'

Finally, don't forget to SAVE all the settings.
